We will continue our discussion with Catherine Pelonero about her book, Kitty Genovese: A True Account of a Public Murder and its Private Consequences, which reached #10 on The New York Times Best Seller List for "Crime & Punishment." Kitty Genovese was stabbed on the street in Queens, New York, in 1964. The case sparked national outrage when it was revealed that dozens of witnesses saw or heard the attacks, but failed to help her or call police until after the killer fled.
